Lahore: The identity card of Abid Ali, the main accused in the motorway abuse case, was blocked on suspicion of fleeing abroad.
According to Express News, raids are underway to nab Abid Ali, the main accused in the case, on the identification of accused Shafqat, who was arrested in the motorway abuse case. The family members of accused Abid are in the custody of CIA police. Police officials say Abid's identity card has also been blocked on suspicion of fleeing abroad.

On the other hand, the investigation of the rape case has been shifted from Gujjarpura in-charge investigation to the old Anar Kali in-charge investigation. Authorities say the inspector can investigate terrorism provisions. The sub-inspector has no authority. Two DSPs, Muhammad Ali Butt and Hasnain Haider, have been appointed to arrest accused Abid.

According to the police, both the accused Shafqat and Abid Ali have been matched with the woman's shirt and shalwar. The accused Shafqat was sent to jail on an identification parade yesterday. The accused has been kept in the jail. There will be an identity parade in the presence of the investigating officer and jail authorities.
