CM orders closure of weddings, fairs, shrines, wedding halls and madrassas
Sukkur: Hundreds of pilgrims who have been kept in Tufatan area of Balochistan have been shifted to Sukkur and Dera Ghazi Khan due to the Corona virus.
Visitors arriving from Iran from Tftan Border to Dushanbe to Sukkur's Labor Colony – men, women and children aboard. The administration has shifted the visitors to the Labor Colony-based isolation unit where they will be kept in Quarantina for 14 days and screened.
The first convoy of 10 buses carrying visitors to Tufatan Border has reached Isolation Camp at Dera Ghazi Khan. Visitors are housed in the Isolation Center at the Agricultural College of Ghazi University. Security has been tightened in the area and Rangers and police have been deployed.
Meanwhile, a meeting regarding Corona virus, chaired by Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, was held in Karachi. Chief Minister directed the Commissioner Sukkur to start the tests for all incoming visitors. Special teams have also been sent to Sukkur.
Chief Minister Sindh also barred ministers from attending the function, directing the closure of weddings, fairs, dargahs, wedding halls and madrassas. He said that wherever there is a lockdown situation, food, medicine and doctors access to the citizens should be ensured.
On the other hand, Spokesman Sindh Government Murtaza Wahab said that the hospital, which comprises 120 beds and 16 ventilators in Karachi, has been allotted for corona patients, but the location of the hospital is not being disclosed for strategic purposes.
