Muzaffarabad: Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has withdrawn the relaxation given in lockdown in Azad Kashmir and issued orders to tighten lockdown.
According to Express News, the Azad Kashmir Prime Minister said that the decision was taken keeping in view the growing cases of Corona. These precautionary and safety measures have been taken to keep the people safe and the people are appealed for cooperation. Circumstances are not such that we do Eid shopping, but this year Eid should be celebrated simply.
He said that complete lockdown would be restored across Azad Kashmir from 12 noon. During the lockdown, essential medical stores will remain open during scheduled working hours. Transport will also be suspended till Eid so that people do not leave their homes unnecessarily.
It should be noted that the total number of Corona virus victims in the country has exceeded 41,000 and 888 deaths have been reported. According to the National Command and Operations Center, 127 cases of Kovana epidemic and one death have been confirmed in Azad Kashmir so far while 77 people have recovered.
