On the direction of the Federal Minister of Home Affairs, an important step was taken regarding the blacklisted passports. After a delay of four years, a meeting of the review committee was convened. The review committee has recommended to remove the names. Decisions on the cases are stalled. The review committee decided to remove the individuals from the blacklist in consultation with all the concerned departments.
Interior Minister Ijaz Shah said that a meeting of the review committee should be convened twice a year and the Passport and Immigration Directorate should provide facilities to the citizens in this regard.
