Jhelum: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that medical devices including dialysis machines will now be manufactured in Pakistan.
In his tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said that a medical equipment manufacturing zone has been set up on an area of 200 acres in the industrial zone of Faisalabad. Various medical devices will be developed in the medical zone, including dialysis and X-ray machines, stents to open blocked arteries, canola, syringes and needles.
The Federal Minister said that Pakistan imports medical devices worth ارب 1.4 billion every year but now it will be much less. After Faisalabad, the next medical zone will be in Sialkot.
