Karachi: The Sindh government has allowed petrol pumps to remain open 24 hours a day.
Sindh Home Department has issued an order to keep petrol pumps open round the clock. Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Usman Chachar has confirmed the issuance of order to Daily Express.
The Sindh government has declared petrol pumps as overcrowded. All petrol pumps in Sindh will be open 24 hours a day. 24-hour business for petrol pumps will apply immediately. According to the order, petrol pumps have been allowed to operate 24 hours a day due to difficulties faced by the citizens during the monsoon season.
In addition, the Sindh government has also changed the working hours of bakeries. According to Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Usman Chachar, bakeries across Sindh have been allowed to remain open from 6 am to 10 pm. Earlier, bakeries were open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
