We have such a great Hadith as proof (Photo: Internet)

Karachi: The scholar, Maulana Tariq Jameel, has said that the Hadith proves that if there is difficulty in coming to the mosque, then prayers can be offered at home so this practice is a weakness of faith but a precautionary measure.

Talking to host Javed Chaudhry in a telephonic conversation on Express News program "Yesterday," he said that a Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) gives us the argument that once in Madinah it was raining, Hazrat Bilal Habashi called the prayer. He said that all people should pray in their homes and do not come to the mosque.

Maulana Tariq Jamil said that the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) gives us the argument that if there is any compulsion in coming to the mosque, then prayers should be read in his house. This is not a weakness of faith but a precautionary measure.

Host Javed Chaudhry asked what to do if the Corona virus does not go away and the Friday prayers are not held in mosques? In response, he said that we have such a hadeeth as proof that for the duty of prayer, my Prophet said: Read in the houses (restored compulsion).
