Karachi: Mufti Mohammad Naeem, the superintendent of Banuria International University and a well-known religious scholar, has passed away due to a heart condition. The President, Prime Minister, Army Chief and others have expressed their condolences on his demise.

According to Mufti Naeem's son Mufti Muhammad Noman, his father was suffering from a heart condition. He had a heart attack at home. He was being shifted to the hospital due to ill health.

President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PML-N leaders Leaders of other political and religious parties, including Mian Shahbaz Sharif, and other personalities have offered condolences to his family on his demise and prayed for the high status of the deceased.
