Islamabad: Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has said that the government is seriously considering opening schools under the Corona Virus Prevention KSOPs.
According to Express News, while presiding over a high-level meeting on the issue of reopening the school, the Federal Minister said that suggestions have been sought from all the provinces including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, madrassas and private institutions. A meeting has also been held with the Ministry of Health on this issue and the data of the National Command and Operations Center has also been taken into consideration.
He said that he wanted the atmosphere of uncertainty to end on issues of fundamental importance like education. According to a Gallup poll, as a precautionary measure, 70% of parents have agreed to send their children to school when schools reopen. Once the roadmap is ready, I will address a press conference to take the parents into confidence.
