Islamabad: Chairman C-Pak Authority General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that there was no obstacle in any of the plans of C-Pak.
In an interview, Asim Saleem Bajwa said that after five years of experience, it was felt that it was necessary to set up a C-Pack Authority. The government wanted to set up a one-window operation for C-Pack. Coordinating with the ministries, various projects are being completed soon. The C-Pac Authority is working closely with the Planning Commission. After the last 10 months of hard work, there is no obstacle in any of the C-Pac projects.
Chairman C-Pak Authority said that ML-1 C-Pak is an important project from Kasab which will be historic, it will reduce the travel time between Karachi and Lahore to 6 to 7 hours. Improving railway traffic has benefited businessmen in Pakistan. The ML One project will be completed in 7 to 9 years. They are also considering laying a railway line between Pakistan and Iran.
Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that huge investments are coming to Pakistan under various private and government partnerships for various projects of C-Pac. Completion of Karakoram Highway was the foundation of Pak-China Economic Corridor. The issue is first discussed in the Joint Working Group for inclusion. After the agreement of the Joint Working Group, the matter is taken up in the JCC. Focusing on the development of Gwadar. Funds have been allocated for Zhob-Quetta road. It is hoped that tenders will be allotted this week. C-Pak has three major projects in Azad Kashmir which will increase the revenue of the government there.
Asim Saleem Bajwa further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to provide cheap electricity to the people, in the field of energy we are moving towards hydel power projects, there is no shot fall in the country today.
